Interchange and Scheme Fees

Interchange on consumer cards issued within the EEA and used at EEA based merchants is currently capped at 0.20% for Debit and 0.30% for Credit. As the UK is no longer a member of the EEA, a transaction can be subject to an interchange cap of £1.50 per transaction on their UK Domestic Mastercard Non-Consumer Debit Interchange if the merchant qualifies for the UK Domestic Government & Personal Payments Program (Merchant Category Code 9399).
